Before they set out on a journey, most people take time to get ready for it. They research their destination, figure out what supplies they will need, and prepare for what they will find when they reach their destination. Walking with God is similar. There are places he wants to take you. There are things you will need for the journey, and for when you reach your destination. We call this equipping. “Equipping Essentials” deals with what you need for the assignment God has for you.

God wants to equip you to do life together with him. There are gifts and abilities he’s put in you that you need to discover and learn to use. “Equipping Essentials” prepares you to walk with God:

• How to build your relationship with God
• Hearing the Holy Spirit
• Building Christ-like character
• Understanding spiritual gifts

Learning to walk with Father God, to hear the Holy Spirit, and allowing him to reveal Christ in you is where your life-assignment begins. Start well and build well!
