Mentoring Like Jesus

Jesus’ method for making disciples

Course Introduction

Jesus was a mentor. He had many followers who looked to him for an example of how they should live. He also had a special group of 12 others that he mentored specifically for the purpose of taking up and completing the ministry and mission he began. In fulfilling his command to “make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey whatever I have commanded”, mentoring is a very useful tool. This course will cover what mentoring is and is not, and will explain the fundamentals of the mentoring process as Jesus used it to train his 12. It will also cover the mentoring relationship, and the responsibilities of both the mentor and the one being mentored.
